A new flip style for Countdown Timer
Abi added a new flip-card style to the Countdown Timer plugin, and it gives the ole' thang a lot more personality.
There's a new demo page for it, plus a new Somewhat Useful episode and a Squarespace Stacks video from Kristine Neil that gives an honest look at how she is using it in production websites. And, in personal news, there is a tiny senior Dachshund named Jupiter waiting for you at the very end.

Countdown Timer is for showing a timer to an event, sale, or launch right inside a Squarespace site. The new flip-card layout gives it a bolder display style.
If you already have the plugin, you get this update for free. Just check out the installation page. If you do not have it, well, grab it.

Kristine Neil on Squarespace Stacks
Kristine made a great video about Squarespace Stacks, giving some real-world examples of how she is using it on a production website. So much of what it takes to make a website in Squarespace look crisp requires a bunch of tiny CSS tweaks to get the alignment and spacing just right. Kristine shows how she is able to now get that crisp look without needing to reach for a bunch of custom code.
The more experienced I get with code, the happier I get when I am able to delete code from a website. It just makes the thing way more maintainable.

We're fostering a dog
His name is Jupiter, and he is a 10-year-old Dachshund. We do not know much about his story, except that he was rescued with 40 other Dachshunds and just had all of his teeth removed.
We are excited to give the little guy a place to land while he finds his home, and also to see how Vivi does with a friend around.
PupStarz is the organizing non-profit, and is collecting donations for their rescue work, if these are the types of charities you like to support. It is just a good organization doing good work for good dogs.
