Last up is Ren Little (my wife / business partner / co-parent to Vivi), and our puppo Vivi.
A Note From Ren
Meet Vivi
At 15 years young, Vivien Leigh is 6.5 pounds of pure opinion. What she lacks in teeth (she’s down to her last 4), she makes up for in attitude and cashmere sweaters. Despite her strong misguided belief that “Squarespace” refers to her potty pads, she generously serves as our our wildly overpaid boss, managing the in-office Will-Myers staff (me and Will) with an iron paw, a total disregard for productivity, and an admirable commitment to her own comfort. Her primary role includes helping Will build resilience by endlessly scratching on the door to go in and out (and in and out and in and out) of the office while he’s in the middle of recording videos.
In her free time, she’s the unchallenged queen of our house and in fact, the entire Upper East Side. Vivi considers herself more of a people-person (tbh more of a mum-person), and she’s never met a dog she didn’t silently or very loudly judge. A woman of impeccable tastes—mostly for freeze-dried chicken—and unbending standards, Vivi is an icon and really, a role model for all of us.
Meet Ren
Hi, I’m Ren 👋🏽 I’m Will’s wife, Vivi’s mum, and in my official capacity at Will-Myers I act as Chief Tricky Email Writer and self-appointed Grand Duchess of Distractions.
My role here is mostly to interrupt Will at critical moments of plugin trouble-shooting to ask if he’s noticed how cute Vivi is lately and demand that he come observe her, and to occasionally come up with silly little games to play in our team meetings.
I also have the grave responsibility of reminding our team of (very talented) computer nerds to occasionally look up from their screens and engage in what I like to call “Real Life”— basically doing things like drinking water, talking to other humans, and going for dumb walks.
Because a healthy marriage is all about good boundaries (and let’s be honest a little mystery never killed anyone), I don’t give Will all of my work hours… you can also find me helping run the business side of things over at Mo News.
When I’m not working, you can find me eagerly reminding Vivi that she is indeed flawless, overthinking work emails, and occasionally reading books.
My Favorite Plugin
One thing that’s important to know about me:
I do not code, I do not try,
Those curly brackets make me cry.
I do not like Java or CSS
HTML I like even less.
Ask me to add a plugin to the store,
And my brain goes, “Error- 404.”
But if I had to pick one, I guess my favorite plugin would be the Affiliate Link Genie because 1) let’s all support each other and affiliate-link each others’ stuff more (I think that’s what it does??) and 2) genies are fun 🧞
