Circle Day was last week and it was so great to see many of you in person. Christy and I had a great time presenting, but I’m very glad it’s over so I can start focusing on some new things. I’m left feeling really thankful for the Squarespace community and the opportunity to meetup in person.
In plugin news, I’ve released a big update to the Mega Menu plugin. Watch the demo video or check out the demo page here. This update comes with 2 layout modes, 1) inset and 2) full width, along with a whole host of other improvements. The inset layout allows you to keep your mega menu in a more compact layout that elegantly morphs to the size of your choosing. The Full Width layout is a beautiful and simple full menu dropdown for each mega menu item.
If you’ve purchased the plugin previously, this update is free to you and you can get the update now by going to the installation page. If you haven’t purchased the plugin yet, you can do so here.
In personal news, in the next month or so, we’ll (fingers crossed) be moving up to New York City. We’ve been doing the digital nomad thing for the last year or so, but Ren recently got offered a more permanent position working at Mo News and we’ve figured the Big Apple is the best place for her to be working in person with Mosh and his team, as well as an exciting next adventure for both of us.
Finally, last month I also had a great conversation with friend and fellow Squarespace Circle member John Apostolo about the evolution of online payments, why all the processing fees, & what are your options as a web designer. John created a new payments app, Fortitude, and has pretty deep knowledge on the subject, so I wanted to pick his brain about it all. Check it out on my Youtube Channel.
