Pricing Updates & Updated Clickable Dropdown’s Tutorial

Hey friend,

I’ve got some big updates on all things Will-Myers for you, so I’ll jump right into it.

First, starting on July 8, we’re going to be rolling out pricing increases across all of our plugins. Here are the highlights:

Most of our plugins will be $25 for the single license
Business Licenses will be $60
Some smaller plugins for $15.
Code Curious members will get a 20% discount on all plugins, and all $15 plugins for free (as part of the Code Catalogue).

All plugins are one-time purchases and I have no plan to change that. So if you’ve bought a plugin previously, you’ll continue to get updates.

I know, I know, no one likes price increases. But, it’s really important to me for us to continue providing top-notch customer support for you.

When I sold my first plugin back in 2020, I threw it up on a website for $10 and thought, “Cool, if people want it they can get it.” I assumed that my job was then done. Now, after 4+ years of selling these things, I’ve come to realize all the other components of a great plugin. A great plugin is designed in such a way that you can adjust the styles to fit your brand, it works right out-of-the-box with minimal configuration, it’s maintained so that it doesn’t break if Squarespace changes something, and an amazing support team that actually tries to help you out instead of giving you stock answers.

Our goal is to make cool things so that you can make cool things, and this pricing increase is in an effort to continue this. Thanks for hanging in there with us, we’ve got some fun stuff coming soon.

Feature Request Board - We’ve recently added Feature Base to our site, which gives you an easy way to tell us what new plugins or tutorials you’d like to see us make next, or what features/changes you’d like to see to our current plugins. You can also browse through the suggestions that other people have already made, and upvote any that you really like. Even better, you can subscribe to certain feature requests, so that you’ll get an email if/when we add it to a plugin. I’m pretty excited about this, because I’ve been searching for ways to make it easier for y’all to give us your feedback and share your ideas. I think that this will help us do this, and increase our level of transparency with what we’re working on and prioritizing, as well as when we’ve made updates or added things that you’ve asked for. A New and Improved Code Catalog - The Code Catalog is our collection of grab-n-go code snippets (kinda like mini plugins), exclusively available to Code Curious members.

We recently got to over 100 snippets in the Code Catalog, which means we had officially outgrown our capacity with the format we’d been using to display them, and it was time for me to build something new. I wanted to upgrade the user experience and improve searchability, and our recently launched new Code Catalog layout aims to do just that. All the same snippets, but with more ability to filter, sort, and search so that you can find what you’re looking for quickly. Updated Tutorial: Clickable Dropdown’s

One of my more popular tutorials is one that allows you to make the Dropdowns in your Main Nav clickable. But the installation method for the code was a bit onerous and, over time, Squarespace changed some things around.
