Hey friend,

First and foremost, Christy Price and I are doing an “Ask Us Anything” webinar tomorrow (Thursday) and I would love to see you in there!

Ask Us Anything with Will Myers & Christy

These are live, info-packed, and fun discussions where we answer as many of your questions as we can. Register here, and ask a question in the Q&A tab. Even if you can’t make it live, you can still watch the replay!

Slider Plugin Update

Slider.gif

Squarespace has made some recent changes that have had some effects on how background sections within my slider plugin appear. If you are using my slider plugin, be sure the background images and videos in the slider are showing up correctly. If not, update to the most recent version of the plugin. Get in touch with me if you’ve lost the password and URL to access the installation page and get the updated code.

Copy (⌘C) and Paste (⌘V) for Blocks

Duplicating Blocks In Fluid Engine

Keyboard shortcuts for copy & pasting blocks (⌘C & ⌘V on a Mac) now works within a section, between sections, and between pages. This is a HUGE time saver! Copy & Paste blocks only works in Fluid Engine though, so that means no Blog Pages & no Squarespace 7.0 unfortunately…

Chrome Extension for Fluid Engine Spacing

Screen Shot 2022-10-04 at 1.04.26 PM.jpg

Chris Schwartz-Edmisten documented an issue with spacing on tablet mode in Fluid Engine a couple months back. I created a work-around for this issue once I saw Chris’s video, but it was a bit cumbersome. Chris has since made an even better work-around utilizing a chrome extension to make tablet editing more functional and user-friendly. Check out the video on how to use it here.
