Hey friend,
I learned a lesson after sending my last email campaign.
Don’t send emails with dark background using Squarespace’s email campaigns.
Some browsers show the link color as the default blue color and it’s incredibly difficult to read. So light background color it is!
You’ll also notice it’s only been three weeks since my last email, instead of three months. I’m hoping to keep up this more frequent trend.

COOL THINGS AROUND THE WEB
W3School Color Converter - This is an online tools I use quite often. It allows me to easily convert colors from hex to HSL (my favorite color format).
Will-Myers Facebook Page - I know, it’s a little self-serving to call this a "cool thing on the web". But hey, cool is subjective. I just set this up a couple of weeks ago and I’m ready to tell people about it. I’ll be posting tutorials & articles that I put on my websites here as well as some live videos. “Like” and “Follow” to get these in your FB newsfeed. Shoutout to all (3 of) my followers! Woop!
History of the Web - Curious about how the internet got started? Jay Hoffman has been writing about the history of the web for a long time and he’s put together this great timeline on how we got to now. I sure do hope this whole “internet” fad sticks around.
Members-Only Podcast with Memberspace - This is a really cool update to Memberspace. If you use Memberspace to host membership content on your website, you can now tie that together with a members-only podcast. I haven’t tried this yet, so this isn’t me endorsing it, but I’d love to hear if any of you try this out.

Make Blog Items The Same Height (FREE) - This is a tutorial I published that shows how to break down the structure of a summary block and build it back using CSS Grid. And all under 25 lines of code! Take a look-see.
Accordion Dropdown in Squarespace ($10 & FREE) - This is a plugin I just recently published. Free version walks through installing a basic accordion, if you’re curious about the jQuery and CSS, but of course the paid version makes it much simpler and is intended for more of plug-n-play use.
Tabbed Sections in Squarespace ($10) - I quietly released the plugin last week because a few people were asking me about using tabs but for entire sections, including gallery sections, not blocks. It also works to toggle through Index Pages in Brine.
What is a block id and how to find one? - In this tutorial, I walk through what a block id is, how to find one, and how to use it to apply CSS to just one block. In the example I walk through installing some code from Ghost plugins to just one summary block. I’ve also added a link to a fantastic tool that allows you to surface these id’s without jumping into the web inspector.
LEARN CSS
I’m working on a course, CSS for Squarespace, that will help designers become proficient in understanding and using code. This is going to be an extensive course that will walk you through everything step by step, with tons of examples and best practices. If you’re interested in something like this, I’d love to hear from you about what’d want to see in this course.
